A total of 5,639 visitors arrived in Seychelles during week 21 of 2023. The year to date figure for 2023 shows that 146,188 visitors disembarked in Seychelles. Compared to 2022 (133,911), the year to date visitor arrivals increased by 9%.
The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has suspended the release of unemployment data until further notice due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The NBS expects to resume regular dissemination of unemployment statistics [in early 2023].

In July 2010, the legal framework of the Bureau was recast and modernized and the National Statistics Bureau Act, 2005, was repealed to be replaced by the National Bureau of Statistics Act, 2010. The institution is now the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) and is headed by a Chief Executive Officer.
